Jon emigrated to New Zealand with his wife and daughters – She Who Must Be Obeyed and Sprogs – in September 2005. After enjoying three months living in Foxton Beach in Horowhenua they moved to Kumeu and then Huapai in Rodney, where they live with two cats, a dog and, more often than not, a sense of well-being.
Jon began mucking around on the web about fifteen years ago and has been blogging in one form or another ever since. When not trying to hold down management positions in customer operations, he has been involved in a number of online projects including writing for a geek gadget website and helping launch a number of city-based blogs.
Looking for No.8 wire is the latest in a long string string of personal web sites and has now replaced bignoseduglyguy as Jon’s primary blog though, along with his friend Kevin, he periodically blogs about food at Big Boy’s Brunch. A dabbler in compact digital photography Jon, through the wonder of Flickr and Tumblr, posts his photos at bignoseduglyguyeye.
